BIOGRAPHY

Mikhaela Davis’ artistic practice is grounded in the ethos “attention as prayer”.

Through highly detailed drawings with an emphasis on realism she approaches her subjects with quiet devotion, using time, adoration, and observation as a means of connection and worship. Working with intimate, tactile materials such as graphite and ink, she embraces their sensitivity—allowing subtle tonal shifts and fine mark-making to mirror the delicacy of the natural world.

2009 - Winner of the Peoples Choice Award at 'The Journey' Group Exhibition held at M16 Artspace

2010 June- Solo Exhibition 'Exposure' held at M16 Artspace, Canberra

2010 December - Solo Exhibition 'Sensual As The Pencil' held at The Front Gallery, Canberra Australia

2012 - ANU School of Art and Design, Awarded advanced entry followed by a short period of undergraduate study in the Painting Department before taking a sabbatical to pursue both professional and personal creative endeavours in London, United Kingdom.

2015 - Solo Exhibition - 'Grace in Greys' at Jealous Gallery in Shoreditch, London

2025 - First and Second Place Winner of Professional Grade Art, Bungendore Show

2026 - Winner of the Curators Choice Award at QPRC & Bendigo Bank Art Prize
